Update: As on May,14 2017
Yesterday was chosen the winner of the Eurovision Contest 2017. A 27-year-old singer from Portugal Salvador Sobral won the contest with the song “Amar Pelos Dois”.
I congratulate Salvador! Thus, the Eurovision song contest of 2018 goes to Portugal. The second place was taken by the 17-year-old Bulgarian participant Christian Kostov. The 3rd place won Moldova with the band Sunstroke Project.
This is for the first time in the history of the contest Portugal have won the Eurovision. By the way, it had been one of the favorites to win, along with Italy’s entry, which came sixth. The contest this year took place in the Kiev International Exhibition Centre in Ukraine.
I’m very glad that the Eurovision Song Contest was held at a decent level in Kyiv. The city prepared for the big event in the best possible way. All the foreign tourists which I personally met and worked with were pleasantly surprised by everything they saw in the city.
I heard only good words about Kyiv and Kyivites. Like: Kyiv is beautiful, well-developed, green and blooming. The Kyivites are friendly and good-looking. The Ukrainian cuisine is incredibly delicious and varied. But what surprised most of all were..the cheap prices on everything. And this doesn’t mean bad quality at all! Everyone promised definitely to come back to Kyiv and most of the guests plan to do it this summer))
So, I’m very glad that Kyiv held the great international contest on a decent level and I really hope that tourists will come to this wonderful city again.
